Good Morning!
This past weekend, Nicole and I headed off in different directions. While Nicole went to Dallas, TX, for a girls’ weekend, I headed towards Baton Rouge, LA, to go to my best friend’s sister’s wedding. I was really looking foward to the wedding because it was going to be the first time I’ve ever been to a traditional Indian wedding…and it did not disappoint! The decorations and clothing were all stunning. It was amazing to be able to see another culture’s traditions in action. Lucky for me, one of my other best friends, Dennis, and his lovely girlfriend, Anna, attended the wedding, too. Their presence was insanely beneficial to me because Anna has served as the wedding planner for several Indian weddings. So she knew everthing that was going on and was able to tell Dennis and I about the traditions we were seeing!
Now, when I go to a wedding as a guest, I don’t always carry my camera. But, since Pritesh wanted to get a good group photo, I brought along my trusty 5D MkII! And I couldn’t resist grabbing a few detail pictures!
The details were so colorful! I really liked all of the detailed fabrics incorporated into the wedding decor! Here’s a picture of Pritesh!
And here’s a quick snap of Dennis and Anna!
Here’s a group shot!
Here’s one of Pritesh and his mother…who both rocked it out on the dance floor!
I was pretty happy that the videoographers had a pretty serious lighting equipment setup! It came in handy for the next two pictures!
Well, that’s it for today! On Thursday, we are going to be sharing a full blog from the wedding we second shot with the McGowans! It was an awesome location and an incredibly beautiful wedding, so make sure to stop by again on Thursday! (And, if you haven’t already, head over to the McGowan Images blog to see their part 1 and part 2 of the wedding!)
Wow I’d love to go to an Indian wedding. They’re so beautiful as I’ve only seen in pictures! Pri congrats to your sister ;) What a beautiful wedding it looked like! Thanks for sharing Kevin!
Great photos, Kevin! I can’t wait to see the photobooth ones :)
