As we said in the sneak peek post, we have been so excited to photograph Brian and Jennifer’s wedding!!! See, Brian and Jen are super awesome people who share our love of dinosaurs! In fact, it was Elliott (The Berg Photography dinosaur) that lead to Jen’s first email to us where she detailed the story of how she saw our ad in a bridal magazine, ripped it out, and waited for her fiance to come home to tell him she had found their wedding photographers! That alone would have been enough for us to love them, but then Jen went on to mention how her engagement ring is made of dinosaur bone and that the love of her life proposed to her with a dinosaur engagement ring, a cheesy pun over pizza, and an episode of The Office. We were so excited to meet and work with these two!
Jen and Brian are just the sweetest. Seriously, spend a little time with these two and you’ll easily see how perfect they are together and how much they love one another. They constantly smile and sneak little glances at one another, and they are constantly laughing together. We had an absolute blast at their engagement session, so we knew their wedding would be amazing! And their wedding day WAS amazing! Despite the constant misting of rain and extreme cold on their wedding day, it was nothing but warm and happy for this couple!
When the groom breaks out a single malt scotch that he bought in Scotland while visiting his friend, later groomsman, that was cask the year he was born, and that he has been saving for a special occasion, you make sure and take a picture of the bottle! Brian bought his groomsmen special wooden glasses as a groomsmen gift and their was no better way for them to break them in than with this extremely fine single malt.
In our first conversation with Jen she told us that after the ceremony they were going to stop at Whataburger and enjoy one of their favorite foods together. We were all about photographing that!!!
When wearing a beautiful white wedding dress, it’s important to protect your dress from possible ketchup spray!
No doubt about it, the details at this wedding were DINO-MITE!!!!
Brian and Jen were champs and braved the freezing cold wetness outside for portraits…totally worth it!
After their big exit and before heading to the bowling alley to continue the celebration, Brian and Jen took a few minutes to themselves and had a private moment where they were able to cut loose and be themselves together on their wedding day!
Brian and Jen, you guys are awesome! We are so happy you chose us to photograph your wedding day!
