On Saturday afternoon, it poured down rain. Like, crazy downpour kind of rain. While a day’s worth of rain could ruin the day for some people, D’Arcy was all smiles as she prepared to marry the love of her life. In a room not too far away, David was all smiles joking back and forth with his groomsmen. Neither one of them were deterred by the rain, it was their special day. In the bridal suite, D’Arcy and her bridesmaids cut the tags off of umbrellas just in case the rain wouldn’t let up before pictures. David and his groomsmen had already braved the rain a few times so they weren’t too concerned about a few drops. This bridal party was there to celebrate this couple’s special day.
We had a great time photographing this wedding! The ceremony at Brown Chapel was personal and sweet while the reception at Silver Lake Ballroom was tons of fun thanks to some great music by The Bluebirds! All of the floral arrangements by Patty Leeth of Branches Design were beautiful, and the cake by Debbie Scales was amazing!
D’Arcy’s bouquet included a locket with a picture of her father, a very touching addition to her special day.
David and D’Arcy chose to do a first look, which is always a beautiful moment…and this one was no exception. We were so lucky that the rain stopped just in time for this couple to see each other for the first time on their wedding day!
One of the best parts of a rainy day is the cloud cover…it can provide for amazing light for pictures!
We’ve been having lots of fun shooting ring shots lately, and that beautiful rock that D’Arcy has made for a great ring picture! Nicole really nailed this one!
We had to take the happy couple outside for a quick night time picture…we were really happy with this next image!
David and D’Arcy, we were so happy to have been included in your special day! You guys are such a cute and fun couple! We wish you two all of the happiness in the world!!!
