A Tribute to Norton Art Gallery

Norton Art Gallery was a popular topic on Facebook this past Saturday.  We got the news via Facebook posts that Norton’s, one of Shreveport’s most popular photography locations, has decided to no longer allow photography on its grounds. Nicole and I were saddened to hear of this because we have shot several sessions  there over the years, and it has always served as a beautiful background. It’s become tradition for basically the entire city of Shreveport to stop by Norton Art Gallery every spring to see their beautiful azaleas in full bloom and have their photo taken. Thousands of Shreveport-Bossier City residents have had family pictures, bridal pictures, prom pictures, and, of course, the ever popular Easter pictures with the blooming azalea gardens at Norton.

We want to take this time to thank Norton Art Gallery for allowing us and everyone else the ability to use their beautiful grounds for photography at no charge for all of these years. We have so many wonderful memories of shooting there. In their honor, we’re sharing a few of our favorite images taken there.

And we will end with pictures from our “snow day” when Nicole and I took the day to just have fun together.

Thank you, Norton Art Gallery, for use of your beautiful grounds!  Blogstalkers, while its sad that this  tradition has come to an end due to policy changes, we’re sort of excited about all the possible new locations that we’ll get to use!
