Good Thursday morning!  Nicole and I are super excited because our new and improved blog is up and running today!  We’ve moved away from the old blogger site and are starting fresh!  While our new website looks very similar to the old one, it is improved in several ways.  First, the image quality is a bazillion times more superior on the new blog than the old blog!  So all of the images can now be viewed in their full glory!  Second, commenting will be much easier!  With just your name and email address, you’ll be able to comment on blog posts with ease!  And, finally, this blog has a mobile device feature that should make for great viewing on iPhones and other smart phones!

Now it’s time to give credit where credit is very much due!  A huge-gigantic-Godzilla-sized THANK YOU to our friend Mack from McGowan Images!  Despite being an extremely busy photographer, husband, and father to two awesome kids, he was able to find the time to set-up and design our blog.  For most, it’s no small task to setup an entirely new website, but Mack (being the genuis that he is) made it happen faster than we could have imagined!

Nicole and I have mentioned our friends, the McGowans, several times on our blog.  We’ve even shared some photos from our adventures together.  But thanking Mack for just setting up our website isn’t enough.  I can honestly say that, if it wasn’t for that fateful day in January of 2009 when Nicole and I had our first session with Mack and Chelsea, there would be no Berg Photography website to re-design.  Mack and Chelsea are special people.  They are funny, good natured, and work great together.  Seeing the fun that Mack and Chelsea had working together made Nicole and I want to do something together.  Nicole acquired a love of photography while searching for a wedding photographer, but I wasn’t on the same wavelength…yet.  While I have always loved photography, it was this next image that inspired me to really learn and invest in a photography business.

This image is on a canvas hanging above our fireplace.  It is one of my favorite pictures!  This is what Nicole and I hope to give our clients…a canvas-worthy image to hang over your fireplace forever.  If not for the McG bride and groom session, that image would not exist and neither would Berg Photography.  So, to our friends and mentors, Chelsea and Mack, THANK YOU!  You have both supported us since day one, and we cannot thank you enough for your kindness!  You are amazing photographers, great friends, and…more importantly…good people!
