Laiken and Justin were married this past Saturday in Zwolle, Louisiana. During our initial consultations with Laiken and her mom, it was clear that Laiken treasured the moments of the wedding day. Sure, the dress, the decorations, and the portraits are all very important aspects, but capturing only those items without photographing the sweet, tender moments and the crazy fun shenanigans just doesn’t fully tell the wedding day story. Laiken promised her wedding reception was going to be an epic throw down, and she wasn’t lying! They had both a band and a DJ! Chris Jett, the DJ, and After Hours, the band, kept the dance floor hopping. The groom even got up and sang a few songs to his beautiful bride! Carol Hines created Laiken’s beautiful wedding day look.  Shaver’s Catering provided delicious food, and the cake by Silver Palate Cakery was literally the icing on the day! Laiken was very set on a First Look because she wanted the formal photos completed before the ceremony.  That way, these two lovebirds got to enjoy every second of their reception!

If you’re having a crawfish boil for your wedding, then an apron and a bib are totally appropriate to cover-up with!  These were adorable!

Shot faces are the best faces…

It’s abundantly clear that Laiken gets her “life of the party” persona from her mom, Stacie!
