Kristen inquired with us a while back for her daughter’s wedding at Beau Jardin in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She knew the ceremony would be just before sunset and that there would be little to no natural light immediately following the ceremony. Being that Kristen is also a photographer and since this couple chose not to do a First Look, she knew the importance of finding someone comfortable with lighting photos without the use of natural light. We were so incredibly honored that she, as a photographer herself, chose us to take on the challenge of an outdoor nighttime wedding.
Cherish was absolutely stunning in her wedding dress! Both Cherish and Matt were so incredibly chill on their wedding day, and that’s always a breath of fresh air! We were only with this couple for a short time on their wedding day as we were only there to capture the highlights, but we’re thrilled with how beautiful their wedding photographed!
Cherish had a beautiful, emotional dance with her father, and Matt had a fun dance with his mother!
Cherish and Matt, we wish you guys a lifetime of happiness!
The images of my daughter’s wedding turned out even more gorgeous then I imagined! The lighting is absolutely amazing!! I will be forever greatfull to you for capturing this special day in her life!
On October 17, 2014, at Beau Jardin in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Cherish and Matt recited their vows and became man and wife. Here are a few sneak peeks from their wedding day…
We’ll have more on the blog later this week!
Part two of our wedding double header weekend was Angie and Dan at Room on Main in Dallas, Texas. We were excited to shoot this wedding because they’re such an awesome couple! Between their love of the ’80s (which I totally relate to!) and Dan’s love of old cars (which Kevin totally relates to!), we felt kindred spirits with this couple! My day was made by the awesome ’80s band that rocked their reception, Live 80. Kevin’s day was made riding in that awesome Plymouth Barracuda! Here are a few of our favorites from their wedding day…
Angie’s beautiful dress was by Carolina Herrera. Apparently, all Carolina Herrera brides get a special little something sewn into their wedding dress…
Be still my beating heart! A Carolina Herrera dress AND Jimmy Choo shoes?!?! Yes, please! I’ll take both!
This is the car Kevin drooled all over…
Angie and Dan, we are super jealous of the honeymoon we KNOW you’re enjoying! Please share pictures when you get back! Safe travels!
We absolutely LOVE the photos!!!
Post-wedding depression is a real thing. We sort of have it after this past weekend because we’ve been anticipating the weddings we photographed for a long time! We were really excited to spend Friday with Lisa and Blake. These two are our ideal clients! They prioritized photography for their wedding day and made sure to dedicate a large chunk of time for couple portraits. Oftentimes, we’re limited to 15 minutes or less for bride and groom portraits, and, frankly, that’s not a lot of time. Lisa poured so much of her time into planning the perfect wedding, and Blake was behind her 100% helping to make sure that the day was all that she dreamed of. These two were married on family property in Tyler, Texas. Here are a few of our favorites from their wedding day…
We started with their First Look at Blake’s family boat house…
This couple got brave and posed on Blake’s fishing boat BEFORE the wedding! We held our breath as Lisa got in and out of the boat, but, luckily, no one got wet!
Lisa made this bouquet herself!
I love this next image because of the look on Blake’s face. This was a man on a mission! He was going to get married!
The light as Lisa walked down the aisle was as gorgeous as she was!
For those couples who are worried that having a First Look will take away from the awe of seeing the bride as she walks down the aisle, take note of the next photo! It’s so clear that Blake is madly in love with Lisa.
Lisa and Blake, thank you so much for choosing us to capture your wonderful wedding! We are so sad that the big event is over, but we’ll be sure to keep in touch! Enjoy the honeymoon!
