Melissa and Josh – Natchitoches Engagement Session

We were so excited to shoot this engagement session! When we first met Melissa and Josh, we knew they would be complete naturals in front of the lens! This couple is just so sweet together, not to mention they are both superstar gorgeous! We took this couple to a few new spots that we’ve never shot at before and came up with some magic! Josh kept Melissa laughing and smiling throughout the session, and, boy, is that smile perfect for photos! There are so many images from their session that we just LOVED!!! These next two images show Nicole and I capturing the same moment, but with different lenses! We loved this moment so much we just had to share both!!! Seriously, how gorgeous is this couple?!?!?!?

Paul – West Monroe Senior Portrait Photography

01.16.14

We met Paul at his high school football stadium, Don Shows Field, home of the West Monroe Rebels to start his senior portrait session. I do have a memory or two of Don Shows Field as a former C.E. Byrd Yellow Jacket football player, but, unlike those painful memories, today’s session was tons of fun! Paul was very easy going and laid back despite the howling wind and low temperatures! Here are a few favorites from the first part of his session!

After the stadium, we made a random stop along the way and captured some great photos near downtown. Nicole spotted this little nook, and it turned into some killer images!

The best part of the session was when we headed down I-20 to Ruston and the Ruston Regional Airport where Louisiana Tech has it’s aviation department. See, not only is Paul a football player, he is also a pilot! He’s logged several flight hours and is well on his way to becoming a full-fledged pilot! So, of course, we had to get some plane photos, and maybe, just maybe, we had to bust out the lights for one or two epic shots!

Paul, thanks for being such a great sport and having fun at your photo session! It was such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with you and your mom!

John Michael – Haughton, Louisiana Senior Photographers

John Michael is a senior at Haughton High School who plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette next fall. He was such a great sport at his senior session! His mom was pretty awesome, too. At one point, she totally rapped “Ice Ice, Baby” with me. (Sorry, John Michael, but that makes your mom way cool in my book!) Evelyn turns 1! – Bossier City, Louisiana Photographers

The Hammons – Ruston, Louisiana Wedding Photographers

We’re so happy to be able to share these images with you today! You see, we’re currently in Ireland. We flew out this past Sunday, so we had to put it into high gear Saturday night after their wedding and early Sunday morning to make this blog happen today! (Edit by Kevin…Nicole kicked it in to super high gear! She stayed up to the wee morning hours editing this wedding and did an amazing job! I have to brag a bit on Nicole. She is simply awesome!) But you know what? Cody and Rebecca are worth it. They are the sweetest couple and are the perfect match! They’re incredibly kind people who deserve to be able to see a few of their wedding day images! We met them at Creekwood Gardens where the couple got dressed and ready for their first look. Their first look was perfect! You could see how having that special moment early in the day really put them both at ease. After a few family portraits, we headed to Simsboro Baptist Church for the wedding ceremony. Their ceremony was very special. I loved hearing the story of how their Pastor knew that Rebecca was the perfect girl for Cody and that he just had to introduce them! And that’s how their love story began. It was a very personal ceremony in a very packed church! This couple had lots of people show up to share in their day! After the wedding, we all headed to Lincoln Parish Library Events Center for the reception! Now on to the pictures from the wedding day…
