Flashfire Workshop – Dallas, Texas

Nicole and I spent this past Sunday at a workshop in Dallas. Our teachers were Brett Jarnagin and Hiram Trillo, and the workshop was all about off camera lighting. It’s a topic that Nicole and I have been investing time in learning because we love the dramatic and dynamic look that off camera lighting can provide. Now, this does not mean the end of our natural lighting that you have all come to know and love. We just want to add something new to the mix and provide our clients with even more killer images!

We had really great teachers who put us on the spot and made us actually put the knowledge into action. Here are a few of our favorite images from the workshop!

We couldn’t wait to get home to put our new techniques into action, so here are just a couple of quick light painting photos! All of this was done in camera and NOT added in photoshop!

We are really looking forward to trying out more of our lighting techniques and incorporating them into our sessions! Thanks for stopping by! Check back next week as we’ll be sharing lots of images from this Saturday’s wedding!

Remy – Shreveport Photographers

It’s Friday!!! The work week is almost to a close, and we’re sure you guys are excited about that! We pretty stoked, too! We have a couple of things coming up this weekend that we’ll share with you guys next week! But, today, we’re sharing a few shots from a recent mini session with little Miss Remy. We had the opportunity to photograph Remy’s newborn portraits, so we were ecstatic when Remy’s parents contacted us for a Christmas session. At the time they booked, we didn’t have any free days to hold mini sessions in Shreveport. So we offered a mini session on a weekday just for them! (We recently had an event rescheduled which opened up November 17th for mini sessions in Shreveport! So, if you need Christmas portraits, senior portraits, engagement portraits, or whatever portraits, shoot us an email!) It’s only been a few months, but Remy is getting so big!

Jeremy and Rachel, thanks so much for contacting us again! It’s always so much fun for us to have the opportunity to photograph past clients!

Ingrid – Shreveport Senior Photographer

Hello! If you like us on facebook (and, if you haven’t already, you should because that’s where we post sneak peeks and make other fun announcements), then you know that Kevin and I shot a beautiful senior session this weekend!  Meet Ingrid, our 2013 senior rep from Minden, Louisiana.  Ingrid was very prepared for her shoot, bringing multiple outfits and rocking some beautiful blonde curls!  Knowing how prepared Ingrid was for the shoot made us even more excited because we knew she had invested herself in the session as well!  The fact that she was an absolute natural in front of the camera was just icing on the cake!

Ingrid, you were a blast to photograph! Enjoy your senior year!

If there are any seniors out there still in need of senior portraits, we would love to hear from you! (Pssst…the fair is in town and it would make a great backdrop for senior pictures!) Also, we have a mini-session day set for November 17th! Those mini sessions can be used for anything…senior session, engagement session, or a family session for Christmas cards! Contact us at bergphotographyblog@gmail.com if you are interested!
