Disney World Photographer

This past weekend my best friend, Pritesh, and I took a road trip to Orlando, FL, with one destination in mind…Disney! On the agenda was the breakfast at the Polynesian Resort, the Hoop Dee Doo Review, and a taco salad at Pecos Bill. Yes, our trip centered mostly around food. However, I brought along my trusty Canon camera just in case the mood struck me to capture a few images. I could not have been more pleased to have carried my camera because I captured some of the most beautiful images of Walt Disney World ever! Ok…maybe not ever…but I’m going to be ordering a few prints for sure! The days we were there were a mixture of sun, clouds, storms, and beautiful colors!

One of my favorite things to see is the quotes that are placed on the construction walls around Disney World. These are two of my favorites!

This next image was one I captured for my most favorite sister in the whole wide world! This is Belle’s Castle, a feature attraction to the new Fantasy Land addition to the Magic Kingdom!

This next image is for sure going to be hanging in our home very soon! Cinderella’s Castle is just so beautiful!

Now up to this point I’ve posted some of the most popular sites around Walt Disney World and that’s all fine and dandy, but occasionally I need a challenge. I need to be able to capture beauty where no one else would ever see beauty. So, on this trip I said to myself, “Self, do something that no one has ever done before.” So with that thought in mind I took off on a crusade of sorts. During my photography challenge, I was given several odd looks and heard on more than one occasion, “what is that guy doing?” So first I’ll share this collage of several signs, which you may very well recognize from around Disney World. The signs are attractive and detailed…

But what are they? What was Kevin’s challenge that had people gawking and asking what is he doing? Well, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I am pleased to present…the trash cans of Disney World!!! They’re not just for tossing trash or setting up a tripod for a group photo!

This next image is probably my favorite of all the trash can images. It combines symmetry with perfect timing. I’d go so far as to say this is my Pièce de résistance!

Sorry, I just couldn’t help myself. I’ve already photographed most things at Disney and thought it’d be funny to treat the trash cans as subjects. With my joke out of the way, I’ll end with another perfect timing shot. Prior to the beautifully colorful skies that you have seen above, a terrible storm rolled throughout the most magical place on Earth. Pouring down rain, thunder, and…

I hope you have enjoyed the images of one of my favorite places in the world!!! Feel free to comment with your favorite image or your thoughts on the beauty of trash cans! Have a magical day!

Absolutely love the pics. They came out amazing. I love the way you presented the trash cans of Disney and I’m glad I was able to be there when you were taking the pics. Favorite trash can pic hands down is the Epcot pic with the Monorail in the background. So awesome you were able to catch that pic in the short time frame.

P.S – All trash cans @ Disney can be moved as long as nobody is watching. LolReplyCancel

My Girls – Hattiesburg, MS Photographer

I have had the extraordinary pleasure of knowing my best friends for more than 20 years. We came into each other’s lives at different points but we’ve all managed to stick together through the growing pains. Some people have friends who are a lot like themselves. Not me. My friends couldn’t be much more different from me and from the others. And I love it! While we may not always agree and while we may exasperate each other, one truth remains…we love each other dearly. All of us lead busy lives, but we manage to come together for a “girls’ night out” as often as we can. This past weekend, I had the pleasure of enjoying the company of my best friends. Before we set out to dinner, I loaded my camera and tripod into the car so we could grab a few shots of us all together. Why? Because having photos of my friends…ultimately, my family…means the world to me.

I also grabbed individual shots. First up is my younger sister, Jenny…

Next is Danielle (Kandace’s younger sister)…

And here’s Kandace…

Breaking away from the sister sets…here’s Rose Mary…

And because they decided I needed a photo, too, I’m sharing one of me! Thanks to Kandace for quickly learning my back button focusing lesson!

I’ll end with a goofy photo because that’s the best thing about BFFs…you can be as silly as you want to with no judgment!

To my friends, thanks for always being there for me and each other! I’m looking forward to our next get together! Blogstalkers, check back tomorrow to see some AMAZING photos by Kevin!

Sydney – Shreveport Senior Photographer

It’s prime time for senior sessions! Today, we’re sharing our favorites from our session with our senior rep from Loyola Prep, Sydney! (As we’ve said before, we LOVE shooting senior portraits, so, if you’re still looking for someone to shoot your senior portraits, shoot us an email, call us, or send us a text!) For Sydney’s session, we were fortunate to have a semi-mild evening where the high was only about 94 degrees (instead of 104)! Sydney came to the shoot prepared with some killer outfits and a bright, sparkling smile!

Sydney totally rocked this next shot! Just gorgeous!

Sydney, thanks for choosing us for your senior portraits! You were super easy to shoot! Blogstalkers, tomorrow, we’ll be sharing a few images of some of my favorite people in the whole wide world! So check back tomorrow!

Sunrise Desert Shoot – Las Vegas, Nevada Photograher

A few months ago, Nicole and I went to Dallas, Texas, to celebrate our good friend Mack’s birthday. That birthday party lead to the planning of a Vegas trip for the birthday party group. While anticipating our Vegas trip, Nicole and I discussed finding a model for a fun photo session while in Vegas. (We love shooting in new locations, so we’re always happy to travel for a photo session!) Now, Nicole is a Google master. And being the Google research queen that she is, she dove right into finding a location for a possible shoot. She actually found two amazing locations which would be killer spots for a session, so we were pretty pumped! Things got even better when Chelsea, Mack’s wife, contacted us about shooting a session together in Vegas. (Remember, Chelsea and Mack are the amazing duo over at McGowan Images!) Chelsea’s brilliant idea was to use the other couple (Abby & Eric) going to Vegas as our models so we could all work together to make a super-duper-awesome session! With a killer location chosen and a beautiful couple to model, we were ready to go!

The session was scheduled to start at about 4:30 a.m. on a Tuesday morning (a time which I didn’t know even existed)! After a wonderful evening taking in a fun Vegas show, eating a nice dinner, grabbing a Vegas sign picture, and making a quick Walmart run, we were in the rental car and headed to the desert location at about 2:45 a.m.! It rained off and on during our drive, and, when we pulled up to the location, it started to rain a little harder. But everyone stayed positive while we waited out the rain. Soon we were setting up the lighting equipment in just a slight drizzle. What happened after that was some of the most fun we’ve ever had shooting a session! First, our models/friends Abby and Eric were excited about the shoot, and it showed as they put a lot of work into the session! Eric suited up like a champ and made sure he looked great. Abby spent most of the drive to the location working on ballet shoes. Even more awesome is that Abby was unable to find black ballet shoes in time for the session, so she took a Sharpie and colored the ballet shoes she had! That is dedication! And as great as Abby and Eric were as models, it was also nice to be working with our friends, Chelsea and Mack of McGowan Images, again. Chelsea took charge of posing and choosing most of the set-up locations. As you’ll see in the images below, she created some total rock star poses in some fabulous spots! We’ve shot along side the McG’s before and it’s always fun to work with those two! Chelsea is actually blogging the images she and Mack captured during the session today as well, so make sure to head over to http://www.mcgowanimages.com/blog to see their images, too!

Now enough talk, it’s time for pictures!!!

Let’s break for a minute to show off the trophy husbands, Mack and myself!

Back to the pretty…

So are you dying to know where this was shot? It’s a place called Nelson’s Landing not too far from Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s unreal, right? We really hope we get to shoot at this spot again in the future! Abby and Eric, you guys were good sports and fabulous models! Thanks for braving the rain (and the toe shoes, Abby!) for this shoot! Chelsea and Mack, thanks for always being supportive of our photography! We look forward to having you guys shoot our new headshots soon! Blogstalkers, let us know what you think about this session! And, if you haven’t already head over to Chelsea and Mack’s blog to see their fabulous images from this session! Also, be sure to check back on Friday for a few sneak peek images from a recent senior session!
