I had the awesome opportunity yesterday morning to do a media flight prior to this weekend’s Air Show at Barksdale Air Force Base. I was there on behalf of the Bossier Press Tribune and was just elated to have this amazing opportunity! In fact, it was the single coolest experience I’ve ever had in Shreveport!

We flew in a bonanza and right off of our wing was Mike Goulian in his Goodyear plane, Rob Holland in his plane, and my favorite of the three…Scooter Yoak in his beautiful P-51 Mustang. Seriously, that Mustang was just gorgeous! There were multiple flights and I was on the second flight, so I was able to take a few snaps of the first flight.

Then it was my time to fly! After strapping into a harness, it was time for a selfie! I got the awesome seat right next to the wide open door, so I was able to capture images from taxiing down the runway, from take off, and from high above Shreveport!

I gotta say, this was one heck of a way to spend a Wednesday morning!!!
