Mike & Amy – Ruston, Louisiana Wedding Photographer

You’ve seen their engagement session. You’ve seen Amy’s bridal session. Next up? Wedding photos! We couldn’t have been more excited to take part in their special day. Mike and Amy are so open, warm, and just plain ol’ friendly that, when you meet them, you feel like instant friends. Amy put a lot of thought and time into planning her wedding, so we couldn’t contain ourselves. This blog post is going to be nice and long! First up are a few detail pictures! The centerpieces, decor, and seating were done by Rust-N-Lace from Ruston, LA. The decorations were beautiful! We especially loved the creative seating for this wedding…hay bales covered with quilts!

I posted a picture of these koozies on instagram (follow us @kevkberg and @ nicolehberg).  They’re definitely the coolest koozies I’ve ever seen!

Now that we’ve seen the details, let’s check in with the bride! Amy was just stunning!

Amy and Mike decided to do a “First Look,” which is always a favorite part of the wedding day for us!

Then it was time for the ceremony.  Can you guess who they were watching walk down the aisle?

After the big kiss, Mike and Amy didn’t walk too far down the aisle before stopping. I was a bit confused until Amy shooted out, “FALL IN!” And the bridal party followed suit! I love how they incorporated their military service into their wedding! It’s those personal touches that really make a wedding perfect!

Immediately after walking down the aisle as man and wife, Mike and Amy ran to their limo for a few moments alone during a short limo drive.

We took a few minutes after the ceremony to grab a few portraits of the couple. Even though it’s November, we don’t always get gorgeous fall colors in the trees this time of year.  Luckily, there was one tree that had a beautiful red color, so we made sure to put it to good use!

Ba bum bum…bum bum bum…ok it’s hard to spell out the theme music to the “A” team, but that’s what Mike and Amy had playing when their reception entrance was announced!
This cutie was pretty impressive walking around in those heels!

And we are ending the blog with something new we are playing with…light painting!  We’re still practicing this skill, but Mike and Amy were great sports and didn’t laugh too hard as Nicole and I ran around them to get these images!

Mike and Amy, we truly wish you two all the best! You guys are awesome and we hope to see you guys again soon!
