We first met Victoria and Clay at Rebecca and Cody’s wedding this past December as they were the videographers working the wedding. They were super sweet and fun to work with! Clay and I may have bonded over our love of cake and how much we both wanted to grab a piece of Cody’s groom’s cake during the reception! Well, not too long after we met this awesome couple, Clay ended up popping the question and these two were engaged! We were so thrilled when we got the inquiry from Victoria to see if we could shoot their wedding! Victoria and Clay’s love story is just adorable! You see, Vicotria and Clay are both in the television industry. Victoria is a reporter and Clay is a meteorologist, and that’s where their love story began. Victoria got a job at a TV station in Monroe, LA, where she quickly caught the eye of the weekend weatherman, Clay. Word on the street is that before she even started her job in Monroe other reporters may have facebook stalked her and joked that she and the weekend meteorologist would get married! Well, they were right! Victoria and Clay hit it off! The two became a couple but then they were faced with a bit of a downer, they both got job offers in different cities. But fate had a different plan, and it ended up that Victoria was able to recommend Clay to her new TV station who just so happened to be looking for a talented and handsome weekend meteorologist. A year later, they are engaged and working together at the same station!
Since Louisiana is what brought these two together, it was important to Nicole and I to find a location with a Louisiana feel as a backdrop for their engagement session. Bad weather in South Louisiana forced us to have a last minute location change, but did that ever work out in our favor! We absolutely love everything about what we were able to capture for Victoria and Clay!
We had finished the session, and we were walking to our cars. We had even started putting our gear up, but I just couldn’t shake the feeling that we weren’t done. I don’t know what it was, but something was telling me, “nope, you aren’t done yet, get your gear out and make some magic happen!” So, I told Victoria and Clay the magic phrase of the day, “Just one more!” They were great sports and indulged my need to snap one more image and that last image of the day turned out to be my personal favorite, and totally worth it!!!
Guys, we had a blast! You two are perfect together and tons of fun to work with!
Blogstalkers, we’ll have another gorgeous engagement session on the blog Wednesday, so make sure to stop back by!
UGH. I’m so jealous of this location. Those trees! Y’all did in an incredible job, and I can’t wait to see this wedding!
